Meet the Powering Up Castle Vale Citizens' Jury

Local people are helping to shape the future of Powering Up Castle Vale.

At the heart of Powering Up Castle Vale is our Citizens' Jury - a group of Castle Vale residents who reflect the wider community and are helping to shape Castle Vale's energy future.

Over a series of sessions, the Jury has been exploring how Castle Vale could generate more of its own energy, how the benefits could stay within the community, and what should matter most as plans develop. Together, they've tested ideas, challenged assumptions, considered different options and helped identify the priorities that will guide what comes next.

Rather than simply being asked for their opinions, Jury members have played an active role in shaping the direction of Powering Up Castle Vale. Their recommendations are helping to inform plans for a community energy future that reflects the needs, ambitions and values of the people who call Castle Vale home.

We're incredibly grateful to every member of the Citizens' Jury for giving their time, sharing their experiences and helping to shape a stronger future for Castle Vale. We'll continue to share updates as their work progresses.
